pas de calais aw15 fashion event

SET DESIGN/FABRICATION

An installation event in fashion label pas de calais' flagship Soho store again required a set custom designed to integrate with the architecture of the space. For the second time, DeChiazza designed and created the necessary infrastructure to build the set for the event, hiring a complete team of collaborators and overseeing all aspects— from lighting, to projection, to arrangement and rigging of sixteen hand-crafted suspended dress-forms displaying designer Yukari Suda's AW15 collection.

Another NYC fashion week with pas de calais! Designed and built custom set and lighting instruments (with James Clotfelter) to install in PDC's Soho store. Artistic direction by Mote Sinabel.

DeChiazza's team re-made the emptied main floor of pas de calais' store Broome Street store, installing window treatments and a giant loom of black yarn and ebony viola keyssuspended, suspending a 40 foot black cotton cloud of suspended fiber. Artist Nora Renaud's plaster-filigree busts were hung throughout the space to create an interactive space to provide a tactile experience of the clothing.
